Boutique management consultancy thevaluecircle has added two business analysts to its team as the business sets itself up to continue on a steep growth trajectory.
Patrick Johnson and Will Crookes joined the consultancy during lockdown. Due to thevaluecircle’s virtual model, something it has operated since it was formed in 2017, both analysts will be based at home – Patrick in Sheffield and Will in Leicester. The Nostell Estate on the outskirts of Wakefield is home to thevaluecircle.
Managing partner David Cockayne said: “We’re over the moon to have secured such brilliant young talent in Patrick and Will. Being able to recruit from anywhere in the country meant we could take our pick of people, and both have proved themselves to be smart, astute, and of huge value to the business, even in just their first few months.
“We’re already getting them to lead on projects and they both work directly with clients including directors and chief executives of large public bodies. In larger management consultancies they wouldn’t get anywhere near those kinds of people, so it’s great experience for them so early in their careers, and essential for us as a small team to be able to trust them with that kind of work.”
Started in 2017 by David, thevaluecircle has grown at an incredible pace, adding another partner, Tom Mytton, in 2020 and increasing its pool of experienced associates to more than 15. The consultancy offers support on strategy, governance, leadership and change to organisations including some of the UK’s largest health trusts, financial organisations, the sovereign government of Guernsey and universities.
The firm has doubled in turnover every year for the past three years, with plans to continue on the same path for 2021-22. thevaluecircle expects to add more staff and associates to the team throughout 2021 as it wins more work from new and existing clients.
