Matthew has over thirty-five years of financial services experience within both the institutional and retail sectors. Not only a technical practitioner, he also brings a depth and breadth of experience in incorporating operations, business development, sales and marketing, finance, client service and organisational leadership.
As the former chief executive officer of Financial Data Services (now SS&C), Matthew led the business while increasing their market share as well as diversifying into other products and services. His expertise was recognised with invitations to sit on a variety of technical forums, such as The Investment Association’s taxation committee. He is a firm believer that appropriate governance structures and reporting are essential for governing boards to manage ambiguity but more importantly create effective cultures that allow their organisations to flourish openly and transparently.
Matthew has also held executive and non-executive leadership positions in entrepreneurial start-up ventures as well as large complex established organisations understanding the different leadership skills and approaches required.
